Job summary

Guardian Flight in Escanaba, MI, is seeking a Flight Paramedic to join a dedicated air-transport team. You will provide advanced life support from field to hospital handoff, perform base checks, and ensure meticulous patient care documentation on each mission.

Requirements include an EMT-P license, 3+ years in 911/critical care, and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP with trauma certifications. FP-C within 24 months and instructor credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a 911 or critical care setting as a licensed Paramedic required.
• Current EMT-P license in the states served by the assigned area required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, trauma certification required prior to flight status.
• Flight Paramedic-Certified (FP-C), required within 24 months from date of hire.
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS preferred.
• NREMT-P certification may be required in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Complete and submit electronic patient care records for each dispatched flight within the specified time frame.
• Perform daily base checks, including narcotic count.
• Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital ALS care from initial contact to handoff.
• Maintain licensure, certifications, CE, safety, and procedures records.
• Familiar with equipment and supplies used by emergency programs and maintain readiness.
• Engage in pre-mission briefings and debriefings; assist with liftoff checklists.
• Ensure safety standards for crew, patient, and equipment before liftoff.
