Altru Health System in Grand Forks, ND is seeking a Flight Nurse to provide direct nursing care during patient transports by aircraft and ground ambulances. Nurses work 36 hours weekly with day/night rotation, and must maintain critical care skills and ensure safety of crew and patients.
Positions require ND RN licensure (or compact state), BLS, and 2+ years RN experience for Flight Nurse I, with higher experience for II/III. Competitive pay rates are offered.

Summary: The Flight Nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and patient care guidelines of the organization and works within the established scope of practice of the designated governing nursing body during the transport of patients by fixed-wing airplane and ground ambulance or in accordance with their hospital assignments when not on a transport. The Flight Nurse maintains the knowledge and skills necessary to provide critical care appropriate for the patients served and facilitates the coordination of patient care with our partners in the region.

$35.49 - $53.23 USD Hourly
$37.26 - $55.89 USD Hourly
Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC), Transport Nurse Advanced Trauma Course (TNATC) or other Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) approved advanced trauma course required within 2 months of hire. Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN), Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN), or Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) within 24 months of hire. Must maintain the ability to become RN in South Dakota and Montana.
Required: A minimum of 2 years Related Experience
This position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English to ensure effective communication in the workplace and with patients, families, and team members.
