Job summary

Global Medical Response seeks a Flight Nurse to join our team in McClellan, CA. You will transport patients by air, perform critical care nursing, and support physicians with orders while maintaining safety and professional standards.

Prerequisites include RN licensure, 3+ years in emergency/critical care, and CFRN within 24 months. EMT/Trauma certifications and BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP are required prior to flight eligibility, with new hire training provided.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care setting as a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s) where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess each situation to determine the best action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Use critical thinking to manage critically ill or injured adults or pediatric patients and support physicians’ orders.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment and perform equipment/base checks; comply with safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation.

IMMEDIATE HIRING! Flight Nurse Opportunity in McClellan, CA

Starting at $115,000k - $165,000k DOE

We’re hiring a Flight Nurse to work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
