Job summary

Guardian Flight in Watford, ND is hiring a Flight Nurse to transport patients to and from medical facilities and to scene calls. You will work on a professional team committed to high safety standards for crew and patients.

The role requires critical care experience, RN licensure in states served, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP, and CFRN within 24 months. We offer a $5,000 sign-on bonus and company-paid crew housing while on shift.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Emergency or Adult Critical Care as an RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification as required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP training provided).
• CFRN required within 24 months from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess situations to determine best course of action for patient care in critical settings.
• Manage critically ill or injured patients and support physician orders.
• Maintain safe aircraft environment and regular equipment/base checks.
• Communicate with air/ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Ensure shift change information is accurate and records are up-to-date.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training for the position.
• Commit to punctuality, reliability, professionalism, and elevated safety standards.

FLIGHT NURSE INCENTIVES

• Starting Range $86,000-$88,000 annually
• $5,000 Sign-on Bonus payable in two installments following the end of training
• Schedule is a 10 days on/20 days off rotation
• Company paid crew housing while on shift

We’re hiring aFlight Nurseto work with our team of air transportation experts to safely transport patients to and from medical facilities as well as scene call work. Safety, effective and efficient patient care is a key pillar of our services, therefore you’ll work on a quality, professional team that is committed to high safety standards for the crew and our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Flight Nurses will assess each situation to determine the best course of action to support, monitor and treat patients in critical care situations.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage the critically ill or injured adult or pediatric patient and support physicians’ orders.
• Take pride in providing a safe, clean, and well-stocked aircraft environment, maintains regular equipment and base checks, and complies with safety standards and briefings.
• Work collaboratively and effectively communicate in a professional manner with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, facilities and partners.
• Share shift change info to transitioning team and follow protocols to maintain accurate company and regulatory documentation and records.
• Nurses are accountable to maintain required certifications and ongoing training required for the position.

MinimumQualifications:

• Three years of experience in an Emergency or Adult Critical Care settingas a licensed RN.
• Current RN license in the states served by the assigned area.
• EMT Certification & Trauma Certification in state(s)where required.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP required prior to flight status (NRP certification is provided during New Hire Training).
• Certified Registered Flight Nurse (CFRN) required within 24 months from date of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior flight experience
• Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, ITLS/PHTLS.
