Job summary

Lynden Air Cargo in Alaska seeks an experienced Flight Loadmaster to support operations aboard the Hercules C-130 L382G. You will ensure safe, efficient cargo handling, weight and balance calculations, and coordination with ground crews across challenging environments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, maintenance materials, and procedures; write routine reports and basic correspondence.
• Basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; interpret data such as charts and graphs.
• Physical: regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs, occasionally up to 100 lbs.
• Reasoning: follow detailed written or verbal instructions; solve routine problems with a limited set of variables.
• Availability to work flexible schedules and travel domestically and internationally.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registration: valid driver license, valid US passport, pass DOT physical and obtain medical card for CMV >10,000 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aircraft for loading/unloading safely and efficiently.
• Calculate and maintain proper weight and balance within safe operating limits.
• Coordinate and direct loading/unloading activities with ground personnel.
• Oversee cargo operations and supervise routine loading/off-loading.
• Comply with Lynden Air Cargo policies, Loadmaster Manual, and CFRs.
• Remain alert and operate in a safe, professional manner at all times.
