Job summary

Lynn University is seeking a Flight Instructor to perform flight and ground training operations under CFR Part 61, 91, and 141. You will assist with aircraft maintenance and ensure compliance with service directories and inspections.

You will train students in Part 141 courses, provide instruction in flight, simulator, and ground settings, and maintain student records. Duties include monthly safety sessions and support for university events.

Qualifications

  • Current CFI or CFII rating with current FAA medical.
  • Flight experience as required by CFR Part 141.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four university or college (preferred).
  • Accreditation and equal opportunity statements as part of the university policy.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe flight and ground operations of Lynn University aircraft.
  • Train students in all Part 141 approved ground and flight courses.
  • Provide flight, simulator and ground instruction per Lynn University COA and FAA regulations.
  • Assist with compliance with maintenance requirements for Lynn University aircraft.
  • Maintain student records and ensure course standards and training requirements are met.
  • Assist with Part 141 compliance.
  • Hold monthly ground safety training sessions for all Lynn University flyers.
  • Assist the College of Aeronautics with Lynn University events.
