Job summary

Hermeus is offering a hands-on Structures/Mechanical Engineering Intern role to support the design, build, and test of flight hardware for next-generation aircraft systems. You will assist in CAD modeling, subassembly development, and hardware integration, gaining exposure to rapid hardware development in a fast-paced environment.

The position targets undergraduate or graduate students in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering with strong fundamentals and hands-on project

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, and mechanical design.
• Hands-on hardware experience through internships, labs, or student projects.
• Familiarity with CAD tools.
• Comfort working with physical hardware and fast-paced environments.
• Interest in aircraft structures and rapid hardware development.
• GPA of 3.0 or above.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of flight hardware and mechanical subassemblies.
• Assist with CAD modeling, drawing creation, and design updates.
• Perform basic hand calculations and engineering analysis.
• Help build, integrate, troubleshoot, and test prototype hardware.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support vehicle development.
• Contribute to design reviews, test planning, and documentation.
• Support rapid iteration by identifying design improvements.
