Job summary

LPU Batangas in Redwood City, CA is seeking an embedded hardware engineer to design, prototype, and test PCBs for critical flight and ground systems. You will develop firmware for bring-up of new boards and perform testing under extreme conditions, collaborating with mechanical engineers for integration.

The role requires hands-on debugging, reading schematics, and familiarity with SPI, I2C, UART, and Altium.

Qualifications

• Strong fundamentals in embedded circuit and system design.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting circuit boards and electronic assemblies.
• Proficiency reading schematics and datasheets.
• Familiarity with embedded firmware development in C/C++.
• Knowledge of SPI, I2C, and UART.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test PCBs for critical new flight and ground systems.
• Develop firmware for initial bringup of new boards and custom testing of existing boards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pressing issues on existing hardware.
• Conduct bench and environmental testing to validate electrical systems under extreme conditions.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers to ensure proper integration of structural PCBs and custom 3D parts.
• Support flight operations by troubleshooting deployed hardware via realtime telemetry.
• Coordinate PCBA manufacturing for R&D and production.
