Impulse Space seeks a Flight/Embedded Software Intern to write embedded code on custom avionics hardware for ground test and flight functions in Redondo Beach. You will collaborate with avionics, propulsion, GNC, and other engineers to contribute to spacecraft development and bench testing, automation, and flight software.
The role requires current enrollment in CS/EE and hands-on embedded coding with C/C++/Rust.

Your core responsibility will be to write embedded code on custom avionics hardware for executing ground test and flight functions. You will work with avionics hardware engineers, propulsion engineers, GNC engineers, and others. You will have the opportunity to contribute to various aspects of spacecraft development, including bench testing of new hardware, automation of test and manufacturing equipment, and writing code for use in flight.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
