Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah invites Collegiate Interns to join the Flight Dynamics and Flight Sciences teams for a Spring 2027 internship. You will engage in desktop and pilot-in-the-loop simulations, plus potential flight-test support and model development.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning in stability and control, with exposure to multidisciplinary engineering and evolving toolsets for aircraft design analysis.

Qualifications

• Strong MATLAB coding skills.
• Exposure to aircraft conceptual or preliminary design with emphasis on control surfaces, architecture, and empennage sizing.
• Experience coding in languages other than MATLAB (Python/NumPy or C++).
• Familiarity with FUN3D, VLM, Tecplot for visualization.
• Experience with wind tunnel testing and data reduction.
• Experience in multidisciplinary engineering or academic research environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform desktop simulations and pilot-in-the-loop simulations.
• Support flight testing and data analysis.
• Contribute to model development and toolset upgrades across the aircraft development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with Stability and Control, Flight Dynamics, and other teams.
