Job summary

Bombardier is seeking an Engineer for Flight Control Laws (CLaws) design, development and analysis at its Wichita, KS site. The role focuses on developing and validating FLIGHT control laws for FBW aircraft, using Matlab and C++ for modeling, testing and verification.

Responsibilities include V&V, DO-178B compliance and supporting autopilot/navigation design in R&D projects, with a strong emphasis on analysis, simulation and performance evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's, master's or PhD in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• Strong background in flight control laws and fly-by-wire systems.
• Proficiency with Matlab/Simulink and C++ for modeling, testing and development.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve CLaws design and assessment tools using Matlab and C++.
• Support CLaws and autopilot/nav design for R&D projects.
• Perform CLaws V&V and ensure DO-178B/Sae ARP 4754 compliance.
• Verify CLaws implementation and flight control performance with simulations and flight data.
