Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America (PCA) in Dallas, TX, is seeking to fill a manufacturing operator role in its corrugated packaging operation. The position requires operating Flexo machinery, ensuring die setup accuracy, and maintaining high quality throughout runs.

The candidate should be able to work overtime on short notice, be authorized to work in the U.S., and have or be willing to gain experience in a packaging/manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to work overtime on short notice, including weekends.
• Experience in packaging/manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set-up rails, print, and die cut section on Flexo accurately according to setup techniques.
• Inspect dies before and after runs to ensure repairs are made before next run.
• Ensure all bolts for cutting dies are in place and tightly secured.
• Monitor box quality including liner, warp, size, and print; check rolls for damage.
• Maximize equipment utilization by operating machinery at available capacity and speed.
• Assist Operator, Assistant Operator and Utility with job duties on the machine.
• Complete necessary reports (Production Data, Machine Status, Safety, Quality) accurately and timely.
• Turn in maintenance work orders for needed repairs.
• Adhere to production schedule and suggest improvements to meet cost, quality, and service goals.
• Report any scheduling issues to Supervisor.
