Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a veterinary practice or recent Veterinary Technology graduates.
• Previous experience in veterinary anesthesia and dentistry strongly preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and urine samples and run diagnostic tests.
• Monitor anesthetic procedures and calculate drug dosages.
• Assist in exam rooms by taking patients’ history, vital signs, and weight.

Skills

Experience in proper animal handling and restraint

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Interpersonal skills including working in a team

Knowledge of small animal vaccinations

Active listening and critical thinking

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
