Parallel Education Division is hiring for the 2026-2027 academic year in Milwaukee, WI. The role offers 1st shift work with no nights, holidays, or weekends and pays $19.00 to $28.00 per hour for candidates with a Bachelor's degree. You’ll be placed with diverse schools and receive weekly pay direct deposit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or higher required to qualify.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Criminal history background check clearance.
• Sub license with Wisconsin DPI required or obtainable with guidance.
• Drug screening with negative result.
• Experience as substitute teacher preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain schedule availability to accept opportunities that arise, taking at least two assignments per week.
• Follow all Parallel Work Rules, Policies and Procedures.
• Create and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning that is orderly and age-appropriate.
• Carry out prescribed lesson plans and guide learning toward curriculum goals.
• Take attendance and set behavior expectations at class start.
• Never leave students unattended and provide appropriate duty of care.
• Assist with supervision during lunch, hall, or playground.
• Proctor classroom, study, and testing activities as directed.
• Build positive professional relationships with staff, administrators, teachers, students and families.
• Adhere to policies and demonstrate flexibility to meet school needs.
• Support administration and perform other duties as directed.
