Job summary

Discovery Senior Living is seeking a caring Server to join our Heartis Village Peoria team in Peoria, IL. You’ll provide warm, friendly, and attentive dining service to residents and guests, helping create enjoyable mealtime experiences that reflect our high standards.

As a Server, you’ll support daily dining operations, maintain clean and inviting dining spaces, and participate in training for new staff. Flexible scheduling, weekend shifts, and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous dining or hospitality experience preferred.
• Enjoys working with seniors and providing excellent customer service.
• Interact professionally with residents, guests, and teammates.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.
• Good judgment, time management, and communication skills.
• Balance team and individual responsibilities.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
• Willingness to work weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Take meal and beverage orders and serve food promptly.
• Ensure residents and guests are satisfied with meals and dining.
• Know daily specials, menus, and items to assist selections.
• Set up, maintain, and clean dining room tables and areas.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Practice proper food handling, safety, and sanitation.
• Assist with opening and closing duties and checklists.
• Support orientation and training of new servers.
• Maintain high standards of appearance, cleanliness, hospitality.
• Assist with dining room organization and supply placement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
