Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Professional Flex Officer in California to serve diverse clients across Healthcare, Education, Finance and more. You’ll use our shift-pickup platform to claim open shifts that fit your availability, building a varied site experience while contributing to safety and customer service.

The role emphasizes flexibility, reliability, and strong communication. Applicants must have a CA Guard Card, be at least 18 (21 if armed), and be able to pass a background check

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent or 5 years of verifiable security experience.
• CA Guard Card with training certificates required.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Must be 18+ (21+ if armed) and have a valid driver’s license if operating a company or client vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensures that authorized removal of property is conducted within client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
