Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for flexible shift coverage in the Saint Louis, MO area. You will patrol designated areas, respond to incidents, assist clients, and maintain daily logs. The role offers varied sites and shifts, with opportunities for advancement as you gain experience.

Applicants must be at least 18 for unarmed roles (21+ for armed), pass background checks, and complete a drug screen as required. A valid driver’s license is needed for driving posts.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Flexible shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or summon police or fire department as needed.
• Warn violators of rules and carry out access control.
• Monitor entrances/exits and authorize admissions.
• Observe and log activity to prevent theft and protect property.
• Investigate incidents and prepare written reports.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.
• Make emergency notifications per site post orders.
