Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Security Officer Flex Staffing Readiness. This role offers 30–40 hours per week with varied schedules and the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program.

You will perform patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents across diverse client sites, gaining exposure to multiple industries and building a foundation for long-term career progression within Allied Universal.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by policy and law.
• Drug screening as a condition of employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Bilingual/multilingual abilities are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle.
• Monitor for irregular conditions and safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or contact authorities in emergencies.
• Warn violators and control entry to properties.
• Maintain logs and prepare reports on incidents.
• Assist customers, employees and visitors professionally.
• Make emergency notifications per site procedures.
