Job summary

Soliant is seeking a substitute school nurse for the 2025-2026 school year in Pennsylvania. This contract role welcomes both RNs and LPNs/LVNs who are passionate about pediatric care and keeping students healthy while at school.

You’ll cover injuries and illnesses, administer medications, maintain confidential health records, and collaborate with school staff. The position offers per diem hours and the chance to make a real difference in daily student well-being.

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania RN or LPN/LVN license (required)
• Experience supporting children or youth, preferably in a school or pediatric setting
• Strong communication skills, with an ability to work effectively with students, staff, and families
• Ability to quickly adapt and provide high quality care in a variety of school environments
• Organized, compassionate, and reliable

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to students with injuries, illnesses, or chronic health needs during school hours
• Administer prescribed medications and perform necessary medical procedures following school protocols
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and documentation
• Collaborate with school staff and other health professionals to promote a safe and healthy learning environment
• Respond rapidly to urgent or emergency health issues as needed
