Job summary

Summit School Services in Wellington, KS is hiring School Bus Drivers with CDL training provided. You’ll safely transport students on local routes, participate in pre-trip inspections, and enjoy a flexible split-shift schedule with no nights or weekends.

We offer walk-in interviews, a starting pay of $18.50 per hour plus a $3,500 signing bonus, guaranteed 20 hours per week, and access to benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no CDL needed to start).
• Must have held a driver’s license for at least 3 years (5 years if applying in Tennessee or Washington).
• Minimum age: 21 (25 in Tennessee).
• Pass DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Compliance with DOT regulations (marijuana prohibited, even for medical use).
• Reliable attendance and safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus on assigned local routes.
• Transport students to and from school, sports, and events.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain a clean, safe bus environment.
• Communicate courteously with students, parents, and school staff.
• Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules.
