Job summary

Meyer Logistics is seeking a reliable Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Operator to join our Buffalo team. This part-time role involves loading/unloading, route deliveries, and paperwork while staying DOT compliant. You’ll work with our fleet to ensure timely deliveries and accurate inventory handling.

We value dependability, forklift use experience, and a valid license. The schedule is mornings on weekdays with about 25 hours per week, offering steady pay and family-friendly shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience driving 26-28 ft box trucks or similar CMV over 10,001 lbs
• Valid truck license with state endorsement
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical card
• No recent moving or driving violations and able to be insurable
• Experience operating a forklift is preferred
• Previous warehouse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Load and unload delivery/transfer trucks to make appropriate deliveries to customers on route
• Uses scanners to place parts in proper bins and pulls orders
• Places product on pallets and wraps it for transport
• Drive company trucks to route deliveries and meet schedules
• Maneuver trucks for loading/unloading
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety and perform preventative maintenance
• Report defects, accidents and violations and document paperwork for DOT

The Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Operator loads/unloads trucks, stocks products in appropriate locations, and timeliness of all job functions. This position also drives company trucks to make route deliveries and completes paperwork. Works closely with internal departments to ensure product is delivered to customers in a timely manner while staying compliant with DOT regulations.

Schedule:

• $20.00 per hour
• Flexible schedule (Days/Times) - Part-time, avg. 25 hours per week
• Monday - Friday mornings
• Example Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. (End Time Varies on Most Days Due to Workload / Coverage)

Warehouse / Box Truck Driver duties include but are not limited to:

• Load and unload delivery/transfer trucks to make the appropriate deliveries to the customers on their route.
• Uses scanners to place parts in proper bins and pulls orders.
• Places product on pallets and wraps it in film and bands it using banding equipment.
• Drive company trucks to make route deliveries to customers and meet delivery schedules.
• Maneuver trucks into position in order to load and unload delivery trucks.
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance.
• Report defects, accidents and violations.
• Complete paperwork necessary for company and DOT regulations.
• Communicate with Fleet Management on maintenance issues and preventative maintenance of delivery trucks.

Requirements for Box Truck Driver (non CDL) / Warehouse Operator:

• 1-3 years of previous experience driving 26-28 FT box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. (Required)
• Valid truck driver license and relative endorsement for the specific state.
• Willing to submit to drug screens, background checks and maintain a valid DOT medical examiners card.
• No recent moving or driving violations, remain insurable at the standard insurance market rate.
• Operate / Drive a forklift.
• Previous warehouse experience preferred.
