Medciphers in Georgia seeks experienced Registered Nurses to join our team as Independent Contractors (1099). RNs provide skilled in-home nursing visits on an as-needed basis, maintaining high standards of care, documentation, and HIPAA compliance.

This flexible role offers per-visit compensation, scheduling flexibility, and the autonomy to manage visits, while ensuring regulatory obligations are met. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, insurance, licensure, and equipment.

Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license in good standing is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Valid Georgia driver's license and automobile insurance are required.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to pass a background screening are required.
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments, admissions, reassessments, supervisory visits, and discharge visits.
• Complete nursing visits according to physician orders and Medicaid waiver requirements.
• Develop and update nursing care plans as applicable.
• Complete supervisory visits for caregivers and perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Identify and report significant changes in patient condition and communicate with the Director of Nursing.
• Educate members and caregivers on medications, disease management, safety, and infection prevention.
• Maintain documentation accurately and within required deadlines using Home Care BOSS.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and safeguard PHI; attend required contractor orientation.
