Qualifications

• Must-have: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Must-have: Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Nice-to-have: Experience in grocery, retail, food service, or produce environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, helpful, and respectful guest service at all times to ensure a positive shopping experience and encourage repeat visits.
• Stock, rotate, and face produce to maintain freshness, minimize waste, and ensure an appealing presentation.
• Build and maintain full, attractive displays that highlight product quality and promote sales.
• Inspect products for freshness and remove damaged or spoiled items to uphold quality standards.
• Assist guests with product selection, answering questions about varieties, ripeness, and handling.
• Cut, prepare, and package fresh produce items following food safety and merchandising standards.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of produce items, including seasonality, pricing, and location.
• Ensure accurate signage, labeling, and pricing.
• Monitor inventory levels and report low, excess, or damaged items to support product availability and reduce shrink.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including prep areas and sales floor.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and personal hygiene standards.
• Operate scales, scanners, and related equipment accurately.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with teammates and leadership to support efficient department operations.
• Collaborate across departments to support storewide efficiency and guest hospitality goals.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including attendance, conduct, and dress code standards.
• Support loss prevention efforts by staying alert and following proper procedures.
• Participate in required trainings and continuous learning opportunities.
• Remain productive during slower periods by culling, trimming, cleaning, or restocking.
