Job summary

ESS seeks a Substitute Paraprofessional in Clarion, PA to support classroom teachers by assisting students with special needs and reinforcing instruction. This role involves supervising students, preparing materials, and aiding with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities include managing classroom activities, supervising in cafeteria and hallways, supporting IEP/504 plans, and ensuring student safety. High School Diploma or GED and required clearances are necessary, with permanent, five-day-week

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Clearances: Act 24, Act 34, Act 114, Act 151, Act 168.
• TB test/physical required.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students or small groups.
• Assist teacher with classroom management and general supervision of the class.
• Assist with administrative duties such as setting up equipment and preparing materials.
• Supervise students in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, on field trips, and/or during before and after school programs.
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs.
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans.
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.
