Mixed Pet Veterinary Hospital is seeking a compassionate and collaborative Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The role emphasizes providing high-quality veterinary care and building strong client relationships in a supportive, team-focused practice.

The position welcomes both new graduates and experienced veterinarians, with shifts on Fridays and Saturdays; other shifts may be available, and there are no on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD or equivalent with active license.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong medical, surgical, and diagnostic skills across companion animal practice.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.
• Collaborates effectively in a fast-paced, client-centered environment.
• Commitment to maintaining professional ethics, safety, and high-quality patient care.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and safely handle animals up to 130 pounds.
• Flexible schedule to support hospital operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care for companion animals, including wellness, preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment.
• Perform routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry (or receive mentorship if desired).
• Collaborate with an experienced and supportive veterinary team.
• Build long-term relationships with clients through education and compassionate communication.
• Help create an exceptional experience for both pets and their families.
