Job summary

School of Rock in Miami, FL is seeking a part-time Music Instructor - Multi-Instrumentalist to lead lessons and rehearsals across keys, vocals, guitar, bass, and drums. You will create dynamic experiences to challenge and inspire students while embodying the rock ethos and ensuring high-quality instruction.

The role emphasizes lesson planning, regular parent communication, and involvement in rehearsals and school maintenance.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of teaching or performing music professionally.
• Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design.
• Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and people.
• Strong organizational skills and customer relations.
• Ideal candidate is a working musician with formal training and a passion for teaching.

Responsibilities

• Maximize the quality of music instruction including private lessons and shows.
• Ensure students learn the fundamentals of music, not just songs.
• Create and document thoughtful lesson plans.
• Regularly communicate with parents on student progress.
• Interact with parents and students in school and assist in rehearsals and maintenance.
