Job summary

Avera Creighton Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN coverage to join a multidisciplinary team. The role features rotating days, evenings, nights and weekends; pay ranges from $32.50 to $48.50 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care, developing care plans, educating patients and families on conditions and medications, documenting in patient records, and maintaining infection control and safety.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice and able to obtain during hire.
• Able to work required hours and communicate effectively.
• Preferred 1–3 years of clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Review physician orders and communicate nursing care plans with the health care team.
• Develop nursing care plans by assessing patients and documenting diagnoses and interventions.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Evaluate care by monitoring outcomes and adjusting plans as needed.
• Maintain infection control, medication safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Document patient care services in charts and department records.
• Keep equipment and supplies stocked and maintained; ensure safety.
