Job summary

US Foods CHEF'S STORE is hiring a Sales Associate in Concord, CA. You will perform cashier and stocking tasks, assist customers, and help maintain a clean, organized store environment.

The role requires 6–12 months of retail experience, basic computer skills, and flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends. You will rotate through front-end, meat/frozen, produce, and dry-goods areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6–12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
• Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
• Must possess basic computer skills and cash handling experience.
• Must be able to work a flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Front End: Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF’STORE experience by developing relationships with customers.
• Perform sales and cash functions at the POS accurately using a handheld scanner or keypad.
• Perform cart-to-cart transfer at checkout and verify items against purchases.
• Maintains store opening/closing functions at the front end as needed.
• Sales Floor and Stocking: Maintain neat shelves, rotate stock (FIFO), and report low levels to management.
• Assist with receiving shipments and inventory counts; uphold labeling accuracy and price changes.
• Customer Courtesy: Keep the store clean and safe, report safety issues, assist customers as needed.
