Tractor Supply Company is seeking a Relief Veterinarian to provide high-quality preventive care in community clinic settings as an independent contractor. You will work at designated Community Clinics with the freedom to accept assignments, while adhering to professional standards and applicable laws.

This role offers independence from a full-service hospital, focusing on preventive care, client education, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience: Veterinary experience preferred; open to graduates who meet licensing requirements.
• Education: DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Professional Certifications: Current, unrestricted DVM license in each state where services will be provided.
• Availability for and acceptance of individual assignments is determined by the contractor.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite veterinarian services at weekday, evening and weekend Community Clinics for accepted assignments.
• Perform focused vitals checks (temperature, pulse, respiratory).
• Provide preventive veterinary services, which may include vaccinations, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, and nail trims.
• Educate pet parents regarding preventive healthcare & products.
• Complete and maintain required electronic medical records.
