Job summary

TEEMA Group is seeking a Relief Veterinarian for a small animal general practice in Chesapeake, VA. This is part-time, ongoing relief coverage with typical shifts from 9 am to 5 pm, appointment-based care, and a supportive multi-doctor team.

The role offers flexible days (recurring weekdays or specific dates) and an option to pursue a longer-term or permanent position if it fits well. TEEMA handles credentialing, scheduling and payment.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
• DEA registration is required
• Experience in a busy general practice setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide relief coverage on a part-time basis, weekdays or specific dates
• Maintain an appointment-based schedule (9 am–5 pm typical)
• Collaborate with a multi-doctor team and handle routine surgeries/dentistry if capable
