Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in the greater Boston area is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver neuro rehab in real-world settings. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to implement treatment plans in homes and community environments, helping patients regain independence and meaningful skills.

Qualifications

• Current unrestricted PTA license in the practicing state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification in accordance with state regulations.
• Minimum of one year’s work experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to complex neurological injury.
• Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written form.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services planned, delegated and supervised by the qualified Physical Therapist in accordance with the patient’s Plan of Treatment.
• Regularly confers with Physical Therapist regarding patient’s plan of treatment and progress toward goals.
• Assists with cleaning and maintenance of equipment, treatment and department areas.
• Reports problems with department equipment to ensure good working order.
• Communicates patient’s needs and progress to the Physical Therapist and assists in acquiring adaptive equipment to improve function.
• Maintains and submits patient treatment and billing documentation per regulations.
• Attends staff development programs and maintains clinical practice skills.
