Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for Highlands Respiratory Care - Flexi (870). The RT will evaluate and provide respiratory care, consult with physicians, and manage ventilator protocols in a fast-paced, multi-shift setting.

Responsibilities include autonomous patient care decisions, collaboration with the care team, and adherence to evidence-based treatments. Licensing in AL and NBRC CRT eligibility or certification are required, with BCLS also mandatory.

Qualifications

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LRT) in Alabama is required.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) NBRC eligible or certified is required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and administer therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care.
• Consult with physicians on patient care plans.
