Job summary

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation in Waco, TX is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (PRN/Flexible) to help adults recover from neurological injuries including TBI, CVA, and SCI. You will provide 1:1 therapy in real life settings such as stores, restaurants, parks, and gyms.

The role offers a flexible schedule with hourly pay, drive time and mileage reimbursement, and no evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current, unrestricted OT license by the state.
• Current CPR certification.
• Minimum one year of OT experience.
• Knowledge of rehabilitation techniques related to neurological conditions.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist moving patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and develop treatment plans.
• Regularly re-assess effectiveness of treatment plans, attend staffing meetings and family conferences.
• Perform discharge evaluations, make appropriate recommendations for home and community safety, and provide resources.
• Communicate patient needs and progress to the treatment team, physician, patient and family.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to coordinate care and improve patient outcomes.
