Job summary

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking a flexible Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide patient care under supervision and coordinate with multiple departments. The role offers day or night shifts with no guaranteed hours, and participates in the Gig Nursing Program, with a base rate of $30 per hour and W-2 employment terms.

Ideal candidates have an LPN license, at least one year of bedside experience, and BLS; IV certification is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; comparable education considered.
• Current compact LPN license.
• One year of recent bedside LPN experience.
• Epic experience preferred.
• BLS certification required for MS/BH.
• IV certification required; additional certifications may be needed after start.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision.
• Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of information.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments.
• Participates in the Gig Nursing Program with scheduling responsibilities.
• Adaptability to pick day or night shifts; flexibility in scheduling.
