Better @ Home in The Villages, Florida, is seeking a PRN Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join a passionate team. This home-based role involves following the plan of care, providing exercise instruction, and educating patients to improve well-being under the supervision of a PT.

Primary responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, guiding patients and families, and coordinating care with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care; perform only procedures qualified and trained to perform; communicate changes in the plan of care to the supervising PT.
• Instructs and aids patients in active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional, ADL, transfer, safety, and prosthetic training.
• Observes, records, and reports patient response to treatment; coordinates care with health care team as appropriate.
• Instructs patient, family, caregiver, and other health care team members in therapy within the PTA scope.

Education

Licensed PTA or equivalent (State licensure)
