Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) on a PRN basis with flexible scheduling. Preference for Sundays and Mondays, with opportunities on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Shifts are 8–10 hours, starting between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.

The role involves treating patients per standards, implementing and adjusting plans, and providing training to patients and families. Inpatient experience is preferred, with inclusive benefits from day one for part- and full-time team

Qualifications

• Graduate with an associates degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current Florida license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant; ongoing CE required.
• Current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients according to professional standards and state practice act.
• Implement and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver training.
• Deliver age-appropriate care for the assigned caseload.
• Assess patient data to identify age-specific needs and follow departmental policies.
• Care for and maintain equipment, observing safety and explaining its purpose.
• Communicate with the care team and document treatment and discharge plans.
• Ensure accurate billing and adherence to billing protocols.
• Maintain punctual attendance per Orlando Health policies and laws.
• Comply with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
