Job summary

TEEMA Group seeks a flexible Primary Care Physician (Locum Tenens) to provide patient-centered care across outpatient clinics. The role emphasizes preventive care, chronic disease management, and acute care, working with a multidisciplinary team at multiple sites.

Ideal candidates will have residency in Family or Internal Medicine, an active license, and strong clinical judgment. Schedule includes Monday–Friday hours with possible float between sites and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency.
• Active and unrestricted state medical license (or ability to obtain).
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care services including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
• Provide preventive care, wellness visits, and health screenings for patients of all ages.
• Manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, COPD, and cardiovascular disease.
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory tests and diagnostic studies.
• Coordinate patient care with specialists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
• Document all patient encounters accurately and timely in the EMR.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventive health strategies.
• Participate in team meetings and care coordination efforts.
