Job summary

Mount Sinai Icahn School of Medicine is seeking a Per Diem Nurse Practitioner–Pediatrics to provide acute and primary pediatric care on an as-needed basis. The NP will deliver clinical care across assigned units and maintain strict professional standards, Licenses, and certifications as required.

Qualifications

Master's degree prepared to provide acute/primary health care as an NP.
Registered Nurse with active licensure and NP credentialing required.
RN License (DOH) and CNP License (DOH) must be current.
BCLS/ACLS certifications required, with renewal per program.
NRP and PALS certifications strongly preferred for pediatric care.

Responsibilities

Provides clinical patient care to all assigned patients on an as-needed basis.
Maintains BCLS/ACLS Certification and annual program requirements.
Possesses competence in the area of assignment within the guidelines of the position description.
Completes the necessary orientation program prior to engagement.
Maintains telephone accessibility for control of assignment; notifies unit of changes in contact information.
Submits a letter of resignation at least two weeks ahead of effective date.
