Job summary

Allied Universal, Madison, AL, is seeking a part-time enhanced Security Officer to provide customer service and security at a logistics site. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with six-month commitment and a program to pick up additional shifts across multiple sites to increase earnings.

Ideal candidates have customer service or badge experience, must be at least 18 (21 for armed roles), and will undergo background checks and drug screening as required by law.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience preferred.
• Access control/badge experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant security-related information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
