Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer (Part Time Unarmed Patrol) for Corpus Christi, TX. The role supports utilities locations, maintains a visible security presence, and helps deter incidents while delivering professional customer service.

You will work a part-time schedule with shifts including days and weekends. The pay rate is $17.97 per hour, with opportunities to learn new roles through our Claim a Shift platform and to grow within a dynamic security team.

Qualifications

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utility location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of utility facilities, buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate security-related logs and reports.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, equipment concerns, and potential security-related issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
