Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at Bedford Park, IL. This flexible, fixed-shift role provides reliable hours and opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

You will perform unarmed security duties, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and deliver professional customer service in a logistics setting. This position offers part-time hours with potential growth toward full-time roles.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, parking lots, building perimeters, access points, and other assigned areas to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at designated entry and exit points; verify access credentials and follow site-specific procedures for visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel according to established procedures.
• Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and promptly while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
