Qualifications

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen persons and permitted items entering the facility using established procedures and screening equipment; identify and report prohibited or unauthorized items in accordance with site protocols.
• Verify visitor credentials, manage access points, and provide clear directions regarding entry requirements and facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.
