Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in North Smithfield, RI. The role offers fixed anchor shifts with additional shifts obtainable via our scheduling platform to boost earnings, and requires meeting minimum age, education, and background check standards.

Qualifications

Minimum age: 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Background check required by law.
Drug screen required where permitted by law.
Licensing may be required per state/local laws.
Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by carrying out site-specific access control procedures.
Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials and authorization, manage visitor access, and maintain access records.
Respond to incidents and access concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner per escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and facility perimeter to identify unauthorized access.
Communicate professionally with healthcare personnel, visitors, and leadership regarding access-related incidents and needs.
