Job summary

All City Management Services (ACMS) is seeking a School Crossing Guard in Norwalk, CA to help students safely cross streets on school days. The role supports a community safety program and is suitable for retirees, stay-at-home parents, or anyone seeking flexible, meaningful part-time work.

The position offers part-time hours Monday–Friday, before and after school, with pay at $19.00 per hour. If both shifts are worked, there is a daily bonus opportunity totalling $57.00.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to safety.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication and observation skills.
• Candidates residing in Norwalk or La Mirada preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely guide pedestrians across designated intersections or crosswalks.
• Monitor traffic flow to ensure safety for all pedestrians.
• Remain alert and observant to ensure student safety at all times.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel.
