Job summary

ScanScape is seeking a part-time Retail Scan Associate in the Rensselaer, NY area. You will visit designated local retailers weekly to scan barcodes on displays and in aisles, using a mobile app. The role offers on-site work with flexible hours and travel compensation.

A reliable vehicle and auto insurance are required, plus strong attention to detail. Average weekly hours range from 8–14 with additional hours for special projects.

Qualifications

At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
Ability to stand for long periods and access products throughout the store.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and reach 6 feet.
Must be deadline-driven and a self-starter.
Must have access to reliable Wi‑Fi and be tech savvy.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Visit assigned retailers weekly to scan barcodes across displays.
Use a mobile app to scan store items accurately.
Provide quantity data for about 45% of scanned products.
Complete in-store scanning within weekly deadlines.
Assist with occasional special projects during peak periods.
Report to store per schedule and maintain reliability.
