Atrium Health invites Advanced Practice Providers to join the Orthopedic and Musculoskeletal team in Charlotte, NC. This part-time role involves rotating APP orthopedic urgent care duties, with a flexible schedule and no call burden.

You will evaluate and treat ambulatory orthopaedic urgent care cases, order imaging, and coordinate with supervising orthopedic surgeons. DEA license eligibility, PA certification, and BLS are required or preferred as noted.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for a DEA license.
• Approved to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Graduate from an accredited Physician Assistant program required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider from AHA required with expiration date greater than 90 days from date of beginning practice.

Responsibilities

• Participate in orthopaedic urgent care walk-in and scheduled visits.
• Part time—rotate APP orthopedic practice with a flexible schedule and no call burden.
• Perform initial evaluation and treatment of ambulatory orthopedic urgent care consults: history, exam, orders, imaging, and consult with supervising orthopedic surgeon.
• Perform splinting, bracing, casting, and orthopedic injections/aspirations in outpatient clinics.
