Job summary

Caring Transitions of Reading PA is seeking a Moving and Packing Associate Team Member to assist clients with downsizing, relocating, and liquidating items. You’ll work closely with Managers and Team Members, providing exceptional service and interacting with clients in homes and community settings.

A part-time schedule offers weekday hours with some weekend shifts and on-the-job training. No specific experience is necessary, but packing household goods is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Age 18+ with a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a good driving record.
• Must pass a pre-employment background check.
• Experience in retail, warehouse, cleaning, moving, or general labor is helpful.
• Display integrity, honesty, reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Strong customer service, communication, patience, and respect when interacting with clients and families.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and with co-workers.
• Comfort working in environments that may be cluttered or less clean.
• Smartphone required for scheduling, timekeeping, and project management.

Responsibilities

• Sort and handle clients’ items for relocation, resale, donation, recycling, or disposal.
• Provide exceptional customer service while safely packing/unpacking and staging/resettling possessions.
• Follow direction from On-site Manager or Team Leader for removal of household goods for sale, donation, or disposal.
• Interact politely and compassionately with clients and families and address customer issues.
• Communicate positively with clients, customers, and co-workers.
• Be punctual and attend shifts regularly.
• Follow company guidelines, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Perform other duties related to core services as needed.
