Job summary

Lap of Love in Northern Virginia is seeking a Part-Time Mobile Veterinarian to provide hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in Alexandria, Herndon, Arlington, Fairfax and Falls Church and surrounding areas. This role offers independence, mentorship, and the support of a nationwide veterinary community.

You'll work 2–5 days per week with 3–4 unhurried appointments per day, a guaranteed base salary of $65,000 annually plus bonus opportunities and benefits; full-time details available

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and be able to operate a mobile practice.
• Availability to work some weekends as needed.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs with assistance.
• Candidates will be subject to a background and motor vehicle record check.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families in a mobile setting.
• Practice medicine independently while staying connected with Lap of Love’s mentor network.
• Engage with families to support a meaningful end-of-life experience for their pets.
