Qualifications

• Competitive high school speech and debate experience.
• Experience teaching or working with middle school students.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Public Forum, World Schools, or Congress experience preferred.
• TFA, NSDA, UIL, or TOC circuit experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly class sessions for students in grades 6 through 8.
• Teach speech and debate fundamentals using curriculum provided by Bluebonnet Debate.
• Run practice drills and rounds.
• Give students feedback on speeches and arguments.
• Manage classroom behavior.
• Communicate with parents as needed.
