Job summary

Calex-Sports-Inc seeks a part-time Elementary Tennis Coach & PE Teacher to deliver engaging tennis and physical education for Grades K-3 across Bay Area schools. Flexible, part-time schedule (2–5 hours/week) with afternoon slots, in-person programs, and light travel between sites.

Applicants should be 19+, enjoy working with kids, and are encouraged to pursue USPTA/PTR certification though not required. Training provided; background check and photo/biography submission are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 19+ years old upon application.
• Previous tennis teaching or playing experience is preferred but not required.
• USPTA/PTR certification is preferred but not required.
• Enjoy working with kids and can manage a class professionally.
• Flexible, reliable, punctual, professional, and enthusiastic.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Resilient, positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and in a small team.
• Have reliable transportation throughout the East and South Bay and Peninsula.
• Willingness to undergo a live scan background check prior to working.
• Must send photo and short biography to upload on our website and describe your sports experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead groups of ages 5–10 in after-school tennis programs.
• Assist the lead coach in teaching and program management.
• Attend a two-day training/shadowing session to familiarize yourself with the program.
• Transport tennis equipment to and from class.
• Set up the tennis equipment.
• Take attendance and sign in/out students for each class.
